At this price point you are almost always looking at production builders on the metro’s growth edges — the far South side around Loop 410 and I-37, and the far West side past Loop 1604 toward Lackland AFB. Expect smaller lots, a set menu of floor plans, and longer commutes to the city center in exchange for a new home and a builder warranty.
